And again, the Landmark Center. Clearly one of my favorite buildings in St. Paul.

Landmark Center

This is one of many entrances to Landmark Center - a grand, old building in St. Paul. It was built in 1902 as a federal courthouse, and is now owned by Ramsey County as a serves as a cultural center for music, dance, theater, exhibitions, public forums, and hosts countless special events.

Brooks Building

Brooks Building in St. Paul. I don't know much about it, but the architecture is beautiful.

Lucy's In Love

Heimie's

Heimie's Haberdashery occupies a prominent corner in St. Paul across from Landmark Center. Named for owner Anthony Andler's great-grandfather Heimie Andler, who ran a men's store in downtown St. Paul for seventy years after emigrating from Russia in 1917.

Very Red Car

Very red car. Small too. Also one of my all-time favorites.

Old Armory Building

The old Armory building in Minneapolis has always interested me. It's abandoned now, but is still a great example of Art Deco architecture. I snapped this with my phone on the way to the Twins game.

Good Looking Fish

Fishing off the dock brings in a lot of sunnies. This one is special though. It's a Pumpkinseed sun fish. Great colors.

Hoping to get my feet on the ground.

Coming in for a landing on a grass strip in the Wisconsin northwoods, affectionally known locally as the "Three Lakes International" airport. I'm not crazy about flying in the first place, so this small, aerobatic plane was a little dicey. Great photos though out the windows - which actually opened up.

St. Paul Icon

Driving West on 12th Street East, it's hard not to notice the Cathedral of St. Paul - standing guard over this modest city. The architecture is striking, the location imposing. Makes you think twice about St. Paul.

Not Just A Window

I see this window in Bayport in the parking lot of Not Just A Cafe on a regular basis. It always catches my attention. Great texture and colors, plus mystery items behind frosted glass.

Gogol Bordello

Eugene Hütz (Nikolaev) of Gogol Bordello, taken with my Blackberry phone. First exposure to Gypsy Punk music. Super fun! The whole crowd is bouncing up and down like a sea in a storm.

Pink Bus Stop

In the middle of green rolling hills and narrow gray roads of Baytown Township stands someone's pink tribute to God's love. A brilliant billboard: everybody sees it.
